App & Web Services Developer
What we want: An app and web services developer with a passion for building great mobile apps and an attention to the little things that matter. Ideally, you have a strong engineering background, and an understanding of one or several mobile app ecosystems. The app developer will report to their assigned director.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in all phases of the app development life cycle, and convert concepts and specifications into released iOS/Android/Blackberry/Roku/Samsung applications.
- Develop exciting functionality for video content on a rich media platform including apps and web
- Engage daily with group reporting and workflow tools, including ingestion, source control, and bug
- Tracking and testing.
- Design and implement object oriented wrappers for REST-style APIs. •Keep abreast with the latest technologies and apply them.
Qualifications:
- B.S. in Computer Science with some professional experience or 2+ years of degree-equivalent experience
- Experience with iPhone and/or Android technologies (Objective C, Cocoa, Java, iPhone SDK, Android •SDK)
- Solid understanding of algorithms, data structures, object oriented design, and user experience fundamentals
- Ability to work well in cross-functional teams, and to communicate effectively with coworkers on the phone, in email, and in person
- Fundamental knowledge of remote API integration
- Experience targeting multiple screen sizes and SDK versions with a single app •Experience with visual or interaction design
Bonus Qualifications:
- Proficient in SQL, JavaScript, XML, AJAX, and HTML/CSS
- Experience with Social API’s (Facebook, Twitter, etc.)
- Experience in agile development
- Experience with mobile analytics (e.g. mixpanel, Google Analytics, Flurry)
