RELIABILITY ENGINEER
Our Client currently has an opportunity open for a Reliability Engineer, located at their Edmonton, Alberta location. The successful incumbent will facilitate the development of the business. You must be a self-starter with a strong technical aptitude and highly developed interpersonal skills.
KEY DUTIES:
- Troubleshooting process issues and analyzing trends in equipment performance to ensure integrity
- Works with the Equipment Specialist to develop, monitor and implement preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance programs.
- Monitoring up time, mean time between failure and performance of mechanical equipment.
- Leading and/or Participating in incident root cause failure investigations and problem solving sessions.
- .
- Leading the development of asset reliability scope for outages and major turnarounds.
- Developing and implementing preventative maintenance programs.
- Developing recommendations for systemic asset reliability issues and stewarding implementation of the improvements
- Providing input to capital improvement projects to ensure reliability and maintainability
- Provide technical support and guidance to front line personnel
- Demonstrate strong commitment to all EH&S practices, policies, standards and regulations
- Achieve Reliability business objectives
QUALIFICATIONS: - Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering and eligible for APEGGA membership
- 5 or more years refinery/petrochemical plant engineering, mining and maintenance experience
- Broad-based trouble-shooting capability
- Demonstrated written, verbal, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with the refining industry codes and standards is an asset (e.g. ASME B31.3, API 610)
- Strong communication & interpersonal skills
- Strong technical analysis and decision making skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Must be a team player with a track record of effective implementation within a multi-disciplined team environment.
