The Senior IT Business Transformation Analyst will serve as the liaison between Winnipeg Operations and the IT function. Main priorities are to work closely with internal customers and the IT team to identify, recommend, develop, implement and support cost-effective technology solutions, and to produce high quality documentation for the translation of business requirements to IT applications, solution options, business cases, and recommendations for systems optimization. In addition, the Senior IT Business Transformation Analyst will manage change requests, working with functional process owners to develop and execute test requirements and scenarios prior to acceptance, installation and deployment of solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Implementation of a new ERP system (Oracle) while maintaining current business systems functionality
Manage change requests and testing requirements during implementation, acceptance, installation, and deployment of solutions
Support the prioritization and management of IT requests and projects
Define and communicate project milestones and resource allocation to the management team, department leads, support staff, and end users
Understand business problems and opportunities in the context of IT requirements and recommend solutions that enable the specific functional organization to achieve its goals
Report status of on-going prioritized projects as well as identify and resolve ongoing day-to-day business issues pertaining to IT
Ensure solutions provide consistent IT building blocks to effectively integrate with all functions
Establish and maintain regular written and in-person communications with the organization’s department heads, end users and IT staff regarding pertinent IT activities
This position requires occasional travel to company facilities at other locations
Selection Criteria:
Graduate degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science or Information Systems
5+ years directly related work experience within a manufacturing and/or relevant processing environment
Ability to comprehend and translate business process requirements into functional IT requirements
Experience implementing and maintaining ERP systems (experience with Oracle is a definite asset)
Experience in project management and Software Development Lifecycle
Excellent relationship building and influence management/negotiations skills
Strong business acumen and systems thinking capabilities
Lean/Six Sigma methodology training and experience highly desirable
Business Process Management and/or Re-engineering expertise
