We are currently recruiting for a: Branch Manager – Yellowknife
Location: Yellowknife
Reports to: Regional Director
General Accountability: This position is responsible for the overall management of the branch and personnel for The Company which is an industrial production facility in Yellowknife.
Specific Responsibilities:
Operational
- Responsible for managing the industrial production facility in Yellowknife including but not limited to:
- Production levels;
- Ensure accurate and timely data entry and work order write up;
- Coordinate the logistics of sample pickup;
- Ensure all quality control procedures are being followed;
- Perform monthly production and safety meeting;
- Coordinate equipment repairs and maintenance as well maintain the equipment logs;
- Communicate and enforce The Company, health and environment policies
Financial:
- Ensure all financial targets are met and/or exceeded including: ROS, EBIT, Net Revenues and TEC;
- Oversee and monitor costs and production levels to ensure that business stays within budget.
Personnel:
- In conjunction with our Human Resources team you will be involved in employee interviews, recruiting and training staff as required;
- Schedule shifts and manages time keeping for staff;
- Prepares and delivers performance reviews, actively manages staff including addressing performance issues as per The Company policies;
- Maintains employee files;
- Communicates and enforces The Company employment policies and procedures;
- Communicates and enforces The Company safety, health and environment policies.
Quality Assurance
- Responsible for resolving quality issues;
- Maintains all quality documentation and records;
- Ensures all routine quality issues in conjunction with the QA Department;
- Participates in and follows-up on quality audits.
Required knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent interpersonal and
- Proven ability to improve efficiencies and meet production schedules;
- Ability to lead and motivate a team;
- Understanding of Health & safety Standards;
- Understanding of production SOP’s;
- Strong customer service focus, interpersonal and organizational abilities;
- Demonstrated judgment, integrity and ability to problem solve;
- Ability to effectively manage chance in a dynamic working environment;
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and oral, ability to communicate in French an asset;
- Ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines;

Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of Management and/or Supervisory experience in a production or manufacturing type facility; i.e. Manufacturing, Production Facilities, Health, Plant, Geochemistry Labs.
- Post Secondary Education (Diploma or Degree in Geological or Chemical Sciences preferred);
- Previous experience in the Mining industry, Minerals analysis, geology industries preferred;
- Excellent computer skills including MS Word, MS Excel;
- Previous experience in laboratory or geological preparation facility as asset
Physical Demands:
- Ability to regularly lift 10-20 pounds;
- Ability to stand for up to eight hours in a day;
- Ability to work in dusty environment;
- Ability to Travel on occasion for training and other business related activities
