Wages:$11 per hour, 40 hours a week; rotational shifts (mainly evenings and weekends); dental, medical, group insurance benefits available after 3 month probation

Job Description/Main Duties:
- Some light preparation and cooking of pre-portioned full meals and food items
- Learns and follows standard recipes for the cooking of prepared food items
- May assist in menu and recipe development
- May assist in inventory management and ordering of supplies
- May assist with assignment of duties to kitchen helpers and dishwashers
- Maintains a clean, sanitary and hazard free workspace
- Practices Safe Food Handling practices at all times
- Monitoring daily temperatures for menu items, storage units and refrigerators
- Liaisons with dining staff and supervisors to ensure efficient and smooth operation of the restaurant
- Assists with the planning, preparation and facilitation of events and functions within the restaurant
- May provide additional support in cleaning, sanitizing, and general preparations in the kitchen when required
Employment requirements:
- Completion of High School is required
- Specialized trade certifications would be considered an asset
- Completion of a 3 year apprenticeship program for cooks
OR
- 2-3 years of cumulative experience working as a cook
- Knowledge of Safe Food Handling is required (Certification an asset)
- Bilingual in English and French would be considered an asset
- Comfortable cooking a wide arrangement of foods, including Chinese, French, Italian, American and Canadian
