Inside Account Manager
Summary
Through outbound calling and within a team environment, the Inside Account Manager (IAM) is responsible for both the profitable sales growth through retaining and further penetrating current assigned Grand & Toy customers and by the acquisition of new business. Account growth will be will be accomplished by successfully executing the Grand & Toy way of selling approach, expanding market share to additional client locations/business units while retaining existing revenue base. This position also researches, plans and prioritizes prospects, establishes interest, assesses opportunity, and successfully persuades the prospect to buy from Grand & Toy.
Position Responsibilities
· Initiate contact with prospects to establish interest and determine business needs and sales opportunity through cold calling and networking to develop new accounts. Pursue opportunities representing the best of Grand & Toy in promoting our products, services and commitment to customer advocacy satisfaction.
· Maximize Share of Wallet (SOW) and profits within an existing account base
· Solicit information to understand the customer’s decision making process and influence key decision makers. Anticipate and preempt stakeholder objections to bring the customer to favourable outcomes.
· Be perceptive to verbal and non-verbal cues to identify unanticipated customer needs.
· Demonstrate bias for action by spending time on critical factors that drive productivity, revenue growth and bottom-line results.
· Follow-up on marketing campaigns
· Arrange and conduct major business review for all key accounts including team members (Technology, Furniture, etc) as appropriate
· Implement value-added services and solutions
· Sales plan management
· Maintain complete customer profiles, utilizing Maximizer contact management software. Update on a regular basis and use to identify and pursue opportunities.
· Constantly upgrade and maintain product knowledge, keeping up-to-date with an ever changing market
· Maintain and promote a positive attitude, morale and productivity among professional attitude in discussions with customers as well as with other associates
· Various administrative duties are required
Qualifications
· Minimum of 1-2 years experience in sales account management
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Internet; computer literate
· Secondary school completion. Post Secondary education is an asset
· Communicate in a clear and convincing manner when interacting with others
· Organizational skills are essential
· Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
· Must be self motivated and have a positive attitude
